What’s Cat & Tonic?

Cat & Tonic is the relaunch of Goose on the Rocks, a pioneer and top-rated mobile wedding and events bartend service in Los Angeles. We’ve served hundreds of private events and weddings in our 10 year run, resulting in an overall five star rating on Yelp. We are excited to continue this journey and serve your next event.

Founded by a Cool Cat named Benson and his wife, Jelyn, we pride ourselves in making the planning of having a bar as simple as possible. A dabble of fun and knowledge, a sprinkle of professionalism and creativity, shake it all up and voila, Cat & Tonic.

Our dream is to open a bar one day, where communities and our regulars will have access to a hidden speakeasy within the establishment.

Until then, we’re building a brand and excitement around Cat & Tonic through mobility. The bar should be the least of your worries. If you’re thinking of putting on an event, enjoy the party, and let us handle the bar.

Can you bartend at my venue?

This depends on the particular facility. We’d recommend inquiring with your venue manager. If they allow outside vendors, then yes, we likely can!


However, there are a lot of venues we’ve worked at and love. We are preferred vendors at The Alexandria Ballrooms, Clarke Estate, Heritage Park, and San Gabriel Grapevine Arbor.

Do you provide alcohol?

We do not provide alcohol, but we provide a shopping list that details an estimate of the all kinds of liquor you’d need, depending on your menu. We find that this setup saves couples the most amount of money, and they get to take home any leftover alcohol!

Additionally, our Stress-Free package offers all mixers and bar essentials (cups, stirrers, napkins, garnishes), except for alcohol.

When do I need to book by?

The earlier the better! Our team’s availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, and we usually get booked months in advance. Feel free to inquire about the availability of your date by filling out our free quote form.

How many bartenders do I need?

We assign bartenders and bar assistants depending on a couple of factors including number of guests, complexity of drinks, and venue logistics. We have a minimum of 2-staff policy (bartender and bar assistant) for every event, but a good rule of thumb would be to have one bartender for every 75 guests to make sure your guests are taken care of in a timely manner.

Be rest assured that every team we send will have a team lead who coordinates day-of logistics and is trained in making sure your bar service is perfect!

What can I expect when I book you?

We’ll dive in to your specific event details and curate a menu with you. We’ll provide you with a shopping list of all the inventory you’d need for a bar, and set up a team for your event.

Most importantly, you can expect your event to have the best open bar service from our fantastic bartenders that your guests will love.
